Sandra lived abroad for 16 years in South Africa and England.
Sandra Hood is the Director of People & Culture at Grimes & Company, where she helps foster a positive, collaborative workplace. In her role, she focuses on cultivating a supportive environment where employees feel connected and empowered to do their best work. Sandra especially appreciates the firm’s friendly culture and teamwork.
Sandra brings a broad range of experience across human resources, operations, and product management. Before joining Grimes & Company in 2025, she spent nearly a decade at AlphaSimplex as the Director of People & Culture. Earlier in her career, she served as Regional Operations and HR Manager for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation in Johannesburg, South Africa. Sandra holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a focus on marketing from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and is a SHRM Certified Professional. She is also a board member of the Human Resource Leadership Forum, a network for senior HR professionals in New England.
Outside of work, Sandra enjoys starting and ending her day with walks alongside her dog, Kobe. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her four children.
